So, I do a ton of book reviews, promos, guest blogs….but I’ve noticed that I’ve not come across very much lesbian erotica. Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, do you know why there seems to be a shortage? I even do reviews/post for companies who specify in LGBTQ (Q) material, and haven’t come across any lesbian erotica :(!

  1. Define “lesbian erotica” for me and, if you can, give me the names of some authors. I often see books designated “F/F”… but I couldn’t swear they’re about lesbians. But I’d be happy to see what I can find – once you nail down what you’re looking for.

      • As odd as it may seem, there are a lot of women, straight, bi, and gay, who think M/M sex is damned sexy and even romantic – but it’s no impossibility so maybe you’ll tell us about your time in the Klan? Seriously, some of the M/M stuff I’ve read that’s been written by women tends to capture a side of it you usually don’t see when men write M/M – that tender, feminine side of M/M romance and sex; men tend to write, well, like men – rugged man-love and sex that brings out the inner beast and all that.

How is it possible? Well, you have to have imagination and it would help if you knew how men interact with each other like this and the more you know about it, the easier it is to write about it – and having a way with words would go a long way as well.

Writing erotica isn’t easy – I know because I write a lot of it myself…

      • Lol, Kdaddy…I guess what I was saying is that I don’t know how two men interact with one another when they’re in a relationship, so I didn’t think I would be able to do it justice. My time in the Klan, it occurred one Halloween night in the ’90’s. The outfit was authentic, I know because it took a lot of time and pouring through books to make sure every detail was correct. My other somewhat Klan experience occurred when I was 15 1/2, I dated a guy who not only lived in a town that had been a stronghold in the 20’s, an African Americsn woman disappeared without a trace in the not to distant past, and frankly all people of color were told not to stop in the town, make sure you had gas & followed the speed limit….OH YEAH, and his brother was in the Klan. Lucky for me, his parents liked me and would make his brother leave so that I could come over.
I totally get that you can use your imagination and create something beautiful; I guess it’s another example of how I’m strangely different from most, because the thought of the rough & rugged manly thing has me wet right now, lol.
I generally write creative nonfiction, I would love to write erotica and every once in awhile my level of arousal gets to the point where I’ll write a little something.

  2. Even being designated F/F will work for now….preferably without the added addition of the man who is living his “fantasy” because he’s doing two girls aspect, lol. Not that I don’t like that, since that would totally fall under my bisexual category, I would just like to read a book about two women who end up liking one another, and just happen to have hot sex occasionally.
