Yes, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I know you’ve noticed people talking about what they want to receive for the holiday. However, what some of these people really need to worry about, is learning to love themselves.
I’ve seen people who have a really nice potential partner, and instead of being thankful about it, they keep that person hanging on to the hope, that someday they might be together . I guess I’m wired differently, because I try to treat people they way of like to be treated. I observe this situation and it makes me sad. If you love yourself, you don’t want to create drama. You want others to experience the same happiness that you’re experiencing. You respect and appreciate the people who have been there for you in your darkest hour.
So, this Valentine’s Day, instead of worrying about who’s going to give you what gift. Focus on learning to see your inner beauty. Become the kind of person who is able to empathize with others. If you aren’t capable of sitting around your house and enjoying alone time, perhaps that’s what you should be more focused on, right now. If you need to put other people down in order to feel better about yourself, work on that. There are times in life when all of us experience loneliness; perhaps you crave physical companionship, that’s okay. What isn’t okay, is knowing you have issues and refusing to work on them. This Valentine’s Day, think about what love really is and evaluate yourself.
